06. K.im
A blockchain powered platform where journalists, creators and artists sell their content with cryptocurrency, and consumers pay and access it in a few clicks.

Impact at a glance
01. Context
K.im used Bitcoin as the transactional point between people who create content and people who want to consume it. Journalists, content creators and artists could upload their work, pick the cloud sources where it lives, and distribute it through K.im or embed it on their own websites and channels with a code snippet.
02. The problem
Crypto payments and file hosting felt technical and intimidating. If uploading, pricing or paying required expertise, neither creators nor consumers would adopt the platform.
Business goal
Build a dynamic ecosystem where publishers and consumers do business easily and naturally, growing transactions on both sides.
Customer goal
“As a creator, upload, price and share my work in minutes. As a consumer, pay and get the content without friction.”
03. Insights
Download and upload are the heart of the service, so the experience had to feel as familiar as any file transfer.
Creators already had audiences elsewhere. They needed to sell where their people are, not only on a new platform.
Crypto words create anxiety. Payment had to read like a simple purchase, with the technology in the background.
04. Strategy

A simple flow to add content, connect the cloud source and set the price, without technical steps.

A seamless checkout that adapts to the consumer, making a crypto payment feel like an ordinary download.

Distribution through K.im or an embeddable snippet, so creators sell on their own digital touchpoints.

05. Key decisions
Trade-offMore states to design, but each side only sees what matters to them.
Trade-offLess traffic kept inside K.im, far more reach and adoption for creators.
Trade-offEvolving a well loved logo instead of reinventing it, keeping recognition while making the core action the brand.
06. Outcome
A complete product and brand: platform, identity, documentation, illustrations and marketing materials, designed so that uploading, paying and sharing content felt easy for everyone.
What I learned
“New technology is adopted when the experience makes it invisible. People don't buy blockchain, they buy easy access to great content.”
